Who is the Car Guy?

It has been said “love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life.” I couldn’t agree more. Cars have been a lifelong passion of mine and now they are my business as well. I’m a “3rd generation car guy.” I grew up around cars; it’s in my blood. If you asked my father he would tell you that one of my favorite toys when I was little was his 4-way lug nut wrench. In kindergarten when asked to draw a picture of what we wanted to be when we grew up I of course drew me as a race car driver. I started restoring my first car when I was 13 and by the time I graduated High School I had already hand built half a dozen engines. Over the next decade or so cars remained a big part of my life. I raced them, restored them, worked on them professionally and as a hobby and was formally educated in them.

Then in 2010 I had a life changing experience. While my wife was pregnant with our daughter I was diagnosed with stage II cancer. Blessed enough to make a full and quick recovery, I then decided life was too short to spend it doing anything other than what I loved. I started working on how to best turn my passion into a business. What was unique about me was that I loved all aspects of cars and all different kinds. I didn’t want to be just “a dealer”. I of all people knew how important cars are whether you are a “car guy” or not. I wanted to give people the opportunity to choose cars from anywhere and not just the area the lived in. I wanted them to be able to truly enjoy the experience and walk away knowing that they got exactly what they wanted and enjoyed finding it. I wanted them to know that the car was in great shape and when the time came that the car needed service they could bring it back to the place they got it from and know that the car AND they themselves would be well taken care of. So I set out to build a “customer centered” car buying experience. Having worked at a dealership years back and having bought many cars of my own, I knew I could offer people better than the typical car dealership experience. A lot of hard work and a number of years later, here I am proud owner of The Car Guy, LLC.

So where does all this information about me leave you as the customer? I’ve built my business with you in mind. Even when cars weren’t my daily business, my family and friends have always known me as the car guy. Why? Because I not only love cars but I know them inside and out. I want you to use this to your advantage. I can promise this much, once you have had “the car guy” experience you won’t ever go back to the old way of buying and caring for your cars. Happy Searching,
